Polka studio has opened their outlet at Neelankarai. The studio has a collection of indo-western clothing: saris, ready-to-wear, bottom wear, unstitched salwar suits, block-printed fabrics and more. They have a stitching unit also.
The brand Polka originated from Manram Design Studio, a collaboration between two designers – Manas Parida, an Artist/Designer who has been working with artisans closely over the past ten years, organising exhibitions for the empowerment of Indian crafts persons, and Ramya, whose creations have been widely appreciated by aesthetes and found a home in the wardrobes of celebrities.
“Our commitment to find craftsmen and one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories mirroring Indian sensibilities and traditions has led us to some of the most remote rural clusters where age-old craft methods are still practiced.
Our team constantly researches such sources, brainstorms with artisans and tests several prototypes before coming up with innovative designs that complement urban tastes. We offer you indigenous, quality creations crafted with love, sincerity and integrity. Each apparel or accessory is truly unique – never again would you find one exactly like it, even if we were to try,” says the team. The studio is at 357, 1st Floor, Kapaleeshwarar Nagar, ECR. Ph: 48602324.
