Hydroponics workshop

A workshop on hydroponics will be held on Nov.18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hydroponics is the practice of growing plants without the traditional soil medium but using a nutrient rich water medium. It uses 1/10th of water when compared to the traditional method of farming.

Camping on the ECR

Tent N Trek is conducting ‘Just Thalassophile’s’ a beach bonfire camping at ECR. It is 2-days and 1 night camp and will be held from 4 p.m. on Nov.25.

Movie screening for runners

Chennai Trekking Club is screening ‘This Is Your Day’ and ‘Dragon’s Back Race’ movies on ultra running, on Nov.14 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thiruvanmiyur.

‘This Is Your Day’ movie follows three unique individuals – a mother, a competitive ace runner, and an elite during the 2015 Western States Endurance Run – a 100-mile race.

Make your own robot

Ashtrix Educational Services is conducting ‘Robozon’, a hands-on workshop on building an autonomous robot, on Nov.19 from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. at IITM for students from classes 5 to 10.

Students will be taught to make an edge avoiding rover (robot) which senses pits and corners and avoids it.

Children’s day event

‘Art Connection’ is conducting a Children’s day event for differently abled children on Nov.14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Injambakkam.
