Tamil Marathon at Elliots beach

‘Ingenious 6’, a media service and an event management company is conducting a run titled ‘Tamil Marathon’ onSept.2 at Elliots Beach. The proceeds of this run will be donated to welfare schemes which support needy families in villages across Tamilnadu.

The marathon will be held for 10 km, 5km and 3km for both men and women. The event will also provide a platform to celebrate the different art and cultural practices of Tamilnadu.

Competition for musicians

Unwind Center, Adyar is conducting ‘Underground: Last Band Standing’, a music competition from Aug.23 to 25.

Sri Krishna Jayanthi Celebration Committee (SKJCC) is conducting competitions in categories like oratory, recitation, quiz, kolattam, kummi, rangoli, yogasana, and drama for classes 1 to 12, on Aug. 25 at Sri Sankara Matriculation Higher Sec. School.

Karnatic Kattaikkuttu

Witness the collaboration between carnatic music and Kattaikuttu at the launch of First Edition Arts’ new experimental production ‘Karnatic Kattaikkuttu’ on Aug.25 at Kalakshetra.

This special 2-hour production will have 18 actors and musicians. Kattaikkuttu performers and the carnatic musicians will present excerpts from the all-night plays, Disrobing of Draupadi and The Eighteenth Day.

Event at croc bank

Madras Crocodile Bank is conducting a 2-day camp ‘Zoo Snooze’ from Aug.25, for adults above 15 years.
